TV and radio presenters, Alice Levine and Maya Jama launched a new reality show where players communicate and compete on a specially-designed social media platform called The Circle.
13 edit suites cut and finished the story before a final file delivery to the Playout truck ensured that the TX deadlines every night were hit.
The Farm employed an EVS / Avid interplay solution to the capture, streaming and logging solution as it offered by far the most flexible and resilient answer to the challenges faced.
Using EVS XT channel max servers 48 streams were captured from apartments, whilst a further 12 backup up streams were recorded for an emergency scenario. The media was then transcoded by a bank of EVS XTA’s which write their media to an Avid interplay Nexis estate.
Over 600TB of storage allowed the team on location to capture 70TB of media a day! As well as keeping it live on the system for 5 days together with other essential media.
The series aired for 21 days, concluding with a live final on 8th October 2018.
