Full post production on 6 x 30 min documentary-style original comedy series for Dave.
This semi-improvised comedy follows TV legend David Hasselhoff – playing a fictionalised version of himself – as he arrives in the UK in an attempt to reignite his flagging career. It’s been thirty years since he rose to worldwide fame in Baywatch and Knight Rider and things have since gone a little stale for The Hoff.
Aidan Farrell graded the series using the Nucoda Film Master to create the look of the series, creating an individual grade to each episode, with various uses of contrast, hue and saturation. The use of soft focus, graduated filters and effects, was also used in order to create a shallow depth of field within the frame. In addition the use of anamorphic flares, glints and glows, gave each episode a distinct, highly stylised feel, yet still retaining a generic look throughout the whole series.
Nick Fry mixed the audio with Pro Tools 11, focussing the mix on constructing a documentary style mix that complimented the content of the series. Matt Jeffreys completed the online with Avid Symphony.
