Post production and VFX on one off special for UKTV Gold.
Death on The Tyne sees a whole host of comedy greats (including Johnny Vegas, Sian Gibson, Sue Johnston, Felicity Montagu, Sheila Reid and James Fleet to name few) reunited to build on from the incredible success of last year’s hit Murder on the Blackpool Express. Death on the Tyne was written by Jason Cook and directed by critically-acclaimed comedy director Ed Bye.
Farm FX were asked to create a huge range of visual effects for UKTV’s latest murder mystery comedy caper. Farm FX created over 50 shots including digitally altering ferry’s and compositing them into an array of stormy oceans, full interior set extensions and turning Newcastle into Amsterdam, digital creation of underwater environments, the CG flooding of corridors and engine rooms, creating and adding branding and livery to tour buses, and even killing off a few cast members with harpoons and flare guns.
Farm London facilitated the grade for the special. Mark Wybourn completed the online using Avid Symphony.
Mark Briscoe mixed the audio using ProTools 12.
Post produced by Sean Gatenby.
