Full post production on 7 x 60 min series for BBC Two.
Set in the aftermath of World War II, Close to the Enemy, centres around the recruitment of a captured German scientist to work for the RAF. The new BBC Two drama is the latest in the line of work from award winning writer and director , Stephen Poliakoff.
Colourist Aidan Farrell worked closely with Stephen Poliakoff, grading the series using Digital Vision’s Nucoda Film Master to achieve vivid, striking colours with high contrast and strong shadows throughout the series complimenting the beautiful cinematography of Ashley Rowe. In addition, various sapphire plugins were used to create desired effects including glows, glares, glints and grain.
All the elements and subjects within each frame of all scenes had crucial attention to detail in order to achieve the texture and distinct ‘film noir’ guise that was desired, whilst reflecting the tone and colour of post war Britain.
Clyde Kellett completed the online and FX using DS Nitris and Nigel Edwards mixed the Audio in 5.1 using Pro Tools 12.
