Nicola Sargent and Vikki Dunn, joint founding CEO’s of leading post-production company The Farm Group, today received the Barclays Corporate Business Award at the prestigious Women in Film and TV (WFTV) Awards. The Awards, which celebrate the top women in the film and TV industry, were held at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London and were hosted by Sue Perkins.
"The Barclays Business Award celebrates women of talent, drive and commercial acumen,” said WFTV's CEO, Kate Kinninmont. “Nicky Sargent and Vikki Dunn demonstrate all these qualities in abundance. Their company is well run, financially successful, artistically distinguished - and everybody who works there rates them highly. As does the industry. More power to them!"
Since its inception, The Farm Group has contributed to many hundreds of thousands of primetime programming hours both in the UK and internationally and has received an Emmy, 9 RTS awards, 5 BAFTA TV Craft Awards and 4 Broadcast Awards for Best Post Production House for its high calibre of work.
The group’s rapid growth has seen major expansions within the last two years, including the acquisition and development of what at its time of launch was Los Angeles’ only combined audio and picture post facility. Regional growth has also seen the group’s expansion to Manchester to provide post production services for BBC North’s Media City UK Sites. Last year the group brought in revenue of over $30,000,000.
Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, said: "The worlds of TV and film have many great double acts but Nicky and Vikki are up there with the best. The Farm Group takes its name from the address Nicky once shared with WPP when she lived upstairs from us. We're still on Farm Street but she and Vikki have built a business that stretches from London to LA. They've made an outstanding contribution to the industry over many years, and their award is richly deserved."
