Mental Health Awareness Day: After Shaun

10.10.2021

For Mental Health Awareness Day this year we are sharing British documentary film, After Shaun. The film delves into the heartbreaking repercussions of suicide on those left behind.

This film was created by The Farm’s Facility Manager, Craig Davies, and Assistant Post Producer, Chloe Taylor, with a team of current and former Farmers.

Through a series of interviews with those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide, supported by professional testimonials from Mental Health experts and campaigners, the film strives to show the devastating reality of suicide in the UK today.

The concept for the film came about after Director, Craig Davies, sadly lost his brother Shaun to suicide in 2018.  Through the process of exploring Shaun's story, the film creators realised the necessity to reach out to others, who like Craig, are learning to live with the loss of a loved one to suicide.
