FARMER OF THE WEEK: KAYA HARRINGTON

1.8.2021

This week in the spotlight is newly promoted Post Producer, Kaya Harrington.

Kaya was promoted from the Front of House team in Farm Bristol last year to Post Producer, and has recently relocated from Farm Bristol to Farm London.

How did you become a Farmer?

Many years ago I was having lunch with my cousin across from Farm Bristol (when it was a baby Farm Bristol!) and she, a producer in London at the time, couldn’t stop raving about it. She said I had to get a job with The Farm so I did!

What is the best part of your job?

The people I work with make it for me. Everyone is so talented and driven. Even in the most stressful times, we have a laugh and support each other.

What have you missed most during the pandemic?

Being able to hang out with my family and friends, Zoom just isn’t the one.

What’s the one thing that most people do not know about you?

I’m quite an open book to be honest, and I can’t think of anything! Does that make me boring?

What’s the last thing that made you smile?

I was at a bottomless brunch last weekend and they came out with pancakes for a surprise second course.

The funniest thing that’s happened to you at The Farm?

Watching Dan Gill get attacked by a seagull every time he tried to leave the front door. I have a video if anyone wants to see it!

How do you unwind and de-stress after a busy day?

Wine, a big bowl of cheesy pasta, and New Girl.

What three words best describe you?

Loves a party.

Your favourite Farm Animal?

It has to be the chicken, it’s so funky!
