Day to day, Joe is busy mixing programmes such as George Clarke's Amazing Spaces and Lucy, The Human Chimp, but let's find out a bit more about the Mixer behind these projects...

How did you become a Farmer?

I joined Farm Bristol in April 2019 to be the sole mixer in Bristol's audio department. It's been a great couple of years working on some brilliant projects, and we are now expanding with a new studio being built next door as I type. It's been fantastic watching our team grow.

What is the best part of your job?

Working on a wide variety of projects, with very talented people, constantly pushing myself and learning something new all the time.

What have you missed most in lockdown?

Family and friends. Live music and pubs.

What’s the one thing that most people do not know about you?

I have played in lots of noisy bands over the years from Post-rock, Punk to Hardcore. I've piped down a bit and currently in a band doing the Ambient Indie Shoegaze thing.

What’s the last thing that made you smile?

My two little daughters crack me up every day.

The funniest thing that’s happened to you at The Farm?

Too many to type!

How do you unwind and de-stress after a busy day?

Beer in the bath.

What three words best describe you?

Calm, quiet, cool.

Your favourite farm animal?

Highland cow.
