The Farm Bristol is looking for an experienced Post Producer to join their talented bookings team. You'll be an integral member of our Bristol bookings team and be expected to manage post-production on a variety of genres and facilitate the projects as they progress through the facility, helping to build strong working relationships with clients old and new. The role requires an excellent communicator who can not only manage the day-to-day duties but will also focus on the upcoming months - ensuring the correct resources are scheduled. The hours will vary and are project dependent, you will occasionally be required to handle out of hours calls and emails. 

This role is for a 12-month fixed term maternity cover.

You will be responsible for taking ownership of all bookings for each production allocated to you. Day to day duties will be:

  • Supervision of productions as they progress through the facility, ensuring smooth handovers, liaising between internal departments (sales, operations, creatives and accounts) as well as with The Farm's clients, responding quickly to requests and any problems that may arise.
  • Carefully book in projects based on the agreed quotations and on the production's post schedule. Pre-empting potential issues and planning ahead where possible.
  • Effectively monitor projects making sure they deliver on schedule and within budget, promptly reporting any extra costs should they arise.
  • Booking freelance creatives and 3rd party partners.
  • Accurately report to clients on final costings and promptly invoice projects in good time and as per agreed terms.
  • Regularly feeding back to sales any appropriate information regarding status current projects, possible sales leads or potential new business.
  • Co-operating with the other Farm Post Producers to ensure best utilisation of resources across all jobs.
  • Capable of understanding, pitching and quoting all aspects of Post-production undertaken by the business in a professional manner to promote The Farm's brand and service offering.
  • Work alongside the sales team to help pitch for new productions.
  • Proactively maintain and develop productive relationships with all The Farm's existing clients.
  • Advise clients on best technical practice and most efficient post-production workflows and manage these workflows throughout the project.
  • To assist, when requested, cover for other post producers during times of absence.
  • Adopt Farm Values, maintain and build client and staff relationships.

Candidates must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of four years' Post-production experience in the industry with a demonstrable track record of success.
  • Experience working across a range of genres.
  • A good knowledge of Post-production tapeless workflows, technologies and terminologies.
  • Resource scheduling, preferably through ScheduAll.
  • Experience in a client facing role.

Contract type: Fixed term 12 months.

Salary: Dependent on experience

We require someone to be part of the team which makes that happen. You'll be an integral member of our Salford operation and will work with the team to deliver first class post-production and studio operations for BBC Sport.  The role requires an excellent communicator who can not only manage the day-to-day duties but will also focus on the upcoming months- ensuring the correct resources are in place.  The hours will vary and are project dependent, you will occasionally be required to handle out of hours calls and emails.

  • Crew galleries, edits and LSM.
  • Issue bookings confirmations to the client.
  • Prioritise and handle multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Monitor staff utilisation to ensure appropriate working regulations are adhered too.
  • Issue weekly rotas.
  • Authorise and book holiday.
  • Attend production meetings.
  • Set up suppliers.
  • Adopt Farm Values, maintain and build client and staff relationships.

Candidates must have the following experience:

  • Knowledge of Post Production or Studio workflows
  • Resource scheduling
  • Experience in a client facing role.

We are looking for talented post production Edit Assistants 

Although FCP and Premiere are great, you simply MUST be proficient on Avid. And Resolve would be a bonus. We are looking for all experience levels -Junior to Conform Op.

The successful candidates will be working closely with in-house producers, creatives and clients. Responsible for the day to day work in edit support, troubleshooting issues, ingest, transcode, sync maps & conforming.

What we are looking for

Lead responsibilities:

Support of Avid editing systems, Pro Tools studios, colour grading and VFX systems and general IT support duties.

Creative staff & Client helpdesk functions including call handling/logging.

               Machine imaging & hardware maintenance.

               AD, Avid Interplay & Nexis administration.

Experience:

Whilst some support experience is preferable, a good working operational knowledge of the post production environment is key.  This would include understanding of latest camera formats, software packages, a basic understanding of computer components and media management of networked storage.

New stuff and Training:

Exposure to a range of technologies from both the Broadcast TV side of the business as well as across general IT systems.

Complex Audio/Video apps and workflows, broadcast hardware, storage, databases, backups, networking, security.

An opportunity to get experience at the forefront of TV Production, and associated technologies.

Training is on the job from a helpful team of colleagues to build a working local knowledge

External technical training will be offered ad hoc.

We are always looking to expand our database of talented compositors and VFX artists to work on our wide range of interesting projects at Farm FX in both Manchester and London.

Farm FX are looking for talented and experienced CG generalists to join their expanding team in Manchester.

We have a number of permanent, contract and freelance roles available. As part of the Farm Group you will help create award winning TV shows, documentaries, dramas and commercials.

Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality work on time and to specification. 
  • Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines.
  • To produce a high standard of great looking imagery across a range of styles; from photo real CG composited against live action through to stylized fully CG work. 
  • Take a shot from concept through to delivery
  • To be proactive when executing shots and assisting the team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in high-end CG.
  • Strong skill set in modelling (Hard surface and organic), texturing, animating, lighting, rendering (Arnold/Vray/Redshift) and compositing.
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya/Nuke as well as a solid understanding of most CG techniques and technologies.
  • Rigging experience a plus
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player and organised
  • Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills with both clients and colleagues. 
  • AE experience a plus
